Daft Punk has celebrated 11 years of their soundtrack ‘Tron: Legacy. They released a limited edition with vinyl reissue which was made available last month.

The 2-LP has pushed the album to the top of Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. This Target-exclusive release has shifted enough copies and 94 percent of the 10,000 units have already been sold. The sales data shows that between December 10 and December 16 physical copies of this album sold in record copies. The album’s recent return to the top of the chart was the 11th total week in that spot. It was at the top of the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart since April 2011.

After 28 years together, the music group has announced their split news in early 2021. Then the frontman Kevin Parker said, “I mean, I guess I wasn’t expecting to be as emotional as I was. It was almost like when you hear about someone that’s died. I know it’s obviously not nearly as tragic as when someone dies, but that kind of shock.”

Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter has arranged a new ballet called “Mythologies” which is co-produced by Opéra National de Bordeaux and Ballet Preljocal. This 90-minute show expressed “founding myths that shape the collective imagination”.
