For Berry’s new Netflix film, Cardi B and Halle Berry have curated an all-female hip hop album. This album also features Cardi, H.E.R., Saweetie, and more.

The collection of the songs will be served as a soundtrack for Netflix’s upcoming film ‘Bruised’. This film will be Berry’s directorial debut. She is going to play a disgraced MMA fighter in the movie.
It is heard that Halle Berry asked Cardi B to help hand-select a team of female artists. They wanted to record six original songs for the OST. Berry said about this, “I can’t wait to show it. I have to tell you, one of the things I’m most excited about is the title song that H.E.R. sang… and sh0e killed it. So I can’t wait to share with everyone and am super excited.”

The Bruised soundtrack boasts seven tracks. Berry said about the soundtrack, “I realized that I can do what I want to do and found something I was passionate about. I love seeing these women of color who are now writing, directing, producing – telling their own stories.”

Berry also added, “It’s important because for so long, Black women have had their stories told through the eyes of White men. Now, we get to realize our own stories, and that is exciting.”
