Amy’s Oscar-winning director Asif Kapadia is a British filmmaker who was born and raised in north London and made his name with his 2001 film debut, The Warrior. He produced the Ayrton Senna-focused documentary Senna in 2010. The Oscar-winning Amy Winehouse and Diego Maradona picture.

At the Edinburgh TV Festival last week, Disney+ shared information about Camden. In addition to announcing commissioned works like a documentary about Rebekah Vardy. Disney+ also shared information about Camden, a four-part documentary series about the music scene in North London.

Camden is a four-part authentic documentary collection, delivered to life by Lightbox,  Simon Chinn (“Man on Wire”) Emmy-winning producer Jonathan Chinn (“LA 92”, “Tina”), and Asif Kapadia, Academy-Award-winning director of Amy.

The statement stated, “How has a small nook of North London modified music as we all know it? This evocative collection will reveal the extraordinary untold tales of how the lives and careers of lots of rights this moment’s most iconic music acts have been formed by Camden, alongside a few of the careers that have been damaged by it. With entry to a few of the greatest music stars on the planet whose lives have been modified without end by this tiny part of London, this collection will lastly give Camden the popularity it deserves on a worldwide stage.”
