Bobby Gillespie To Release Memoir Via Third Man’s Book Imprint

Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie is going to release his debut memoir on Third Man Records’ book imprint. The book will be titled Tenement Kid.

The memoir will explore Gillespie’s childhood in working-class Glasgow. It will also display the formative years of Primal Scream and the Second Summer Of Love.

The memoir can also represent the Scottish band’s legacy. The Primal Scream frontman’s work was described as “a righteous path through a decade lost to Thatcherism and saved by acid house”.

The book will be published by Third Man Books later this year. It is announced that Tenement Kid is arriving in October.
