English alternative rock group Maximo Park was founded in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2000. Duncan Lloyd on guitar, Paul Smith on vocals, and Tom English make up the group (drums). The group has seven studio albums to its credit. Du Blonde recently released a new addition to Maximo Park’s Song “Merging Into You”.
The new song is a part of the recently released song “Great Art” from earlier this year. The band’s leader Paul Smith remarked in a statement that “Merging Into You’s organ sound reminds him of some of their early tunes, which wound up on the flip side of their first singles.”
Due to Du Blonde’s amazing voice, the song takes a romantic look at the beginning, unsure phases of a relationship. They are all admirers of Beth’s work, and she gave their sound a different texture in addition to Faye MacCalman’s sultry saxophone solo that brings the song to a finish.
The Newcastle band will embark on a singles-only UK tour later this year. Nature Always Wins,” their most recent album was released in 2021. The band will embark on their “Singular Tour” in the fall, beginning on September 30 at the O2 Institute in Birmingham. They will continue with additional performances in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, London, Cardiff, Nottingham, and Glasgow at the O2 City Hall in Newcastle.
