HBO’s The Last Of Us TV Show Casts The Mandalorian Star Pedro Pascal as Joel
The Mandalorian Star Pedro Pascal was cast by HBO for The Last of Us TV show as Joel. Previously Pedro Pascal played the lead character in the original Naughty Dog video game.

Early this year, HBO announced that Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin was developing “The Last of Us” as the TV show. After the huge launch of “The Last of Us Part II”, it had been picked up for a series.

However, HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us as TV series had been relatively slow beyond these updates. Recently some formalities made major progress. The series also added a new director for its pilot. It was also announced that Game of Thrones breakout Bella Ramsey was cast as Ellie. At that time, it was said that fans have to wait a while to know who is playing Joel.

Pedro Pascal’s role as Joel is the leading character in the first game. It is a fatherly figure to Ellie and loves to travel together. They faced many dangers during this travel in this apocalyptic setting. Pascal is currently known as the star of Disney+ for The Mandalorian. He had previous experience working with HBO. Pascal is also popular for his other great works like Narcos, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and Wonder Woman 1984.
