Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s First Thanksgiving Celebration in California
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their first American Turkey Day as a family. After settling down in the Santa Barbara community of Montecito, they both decided to arrange this intimate celebration of Thanksgiving with their son Archie Harrison.
Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed a quiet dinner in their California Home. It is heard that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland made a short trip up from her home in Los Angeles. The royal Thanksgiving dinner menu includes traditional dishes as well as recipes made with fresh vegetables from the couple’s very own garden.
It is definitely a bittersweet time for Meghan and Harry. Because recently Meghan experienced a miscarriage in July. The former actress shared the news with The New York Times. Meghan described the “unbearable grief” she and Harry endured after the loss.
She also added, “Sitting in a hospital bed, watching my husband’s heart break as he tried to hold the shattered pieces of mine, I realized that the only way to begin to heal is to first ask, ‘Are you OK?'”
Earlier this year, Meghan and Harry decided to step down from their roles as the senior member of a royal family. The pair planned to settle in the USA. They also decided to pursue their passion for media literacy, social justice, and gender equality.
