To take on Glastonbury’s coveted Legends Slot, Noddy Holder has expressed his hopes of Slade reuniting.

Last year drummer Don Powell announced that he had been fired over email after 50 years with this band. So, Guitarist Dave Hill is now the only original member of the group.

Dave Hill is now performing with the current version of Slade. The other member is John Berry, Russell Keefe, and Alex Bines. John Berry joined the band in 2003 while Russell Keefe joined in 2019. The drummer Alex Bines joined in 2020.

The former lead singer Noddy Holder the band in 1992. He expressed his hope that the original line-up will appear at Glastonbury Festival in the future.

Holder said, “It would be amazing if we could work out our differences. I think we’d probably all have to go [to Glastonbury] in on a coach each. Or we’d all have to have a changing room or caravan each.”

He also said, “And maybe we’d have to have glass barriers between us on stage so that there would be no fisticuffs on stage.”
