Prince Andrew Will Make His Return At Big Royal Event
The Duke of York was likely to back in a public way. He has decided to make his return at a big royal event next week. Prince Andrew will attend the Order of the Garter ceremony. It is one of the key events in the annual royal calendar.
As a knight, Prince Andrew is the oldest order of chivalry in the world. In this royal event, he will join with fellow knights. Most of the rest of the royal family will be present at this event at Windsor. Prince Andrew’s older brother Prince Charles and nephew Prince William will also be there.
As a member of Queen Elizabeth’s family, Andrew was made a knight. But with other patronages and military titles, he kept that title irrespective of his association with a convicted sex offender. In recent years, he was forced to step away when Virginia Giuffre charged a sexual assault lawsuit against him.
However, Andrew was absent from the Trooping the Color occasion. As he was no longer a working royal, he was barred from appearing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. He was also absent from the National Service of Thanksgiving due to being COVID positive.
