Prince Charles & Camilla Parker Spent $500k On A Single Royal Trip
Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker spend more on travel than any other members of the British royal family. A recent official report revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall have spent $500k on a single royal trip.

Each year Sovereign Grant Report is published to present the money spent by the royal family. It is a simple way to observe how exactly the royals spend money given to them by the government. Previously it was revealed that Prince Charles has given up his beloved home ahead of becoming king. Now the latest report confirms that between 2018 and 2019, Charles and Camilla spent more on travel than any other royal couple like Prince William and Kate or Prince Harry and Meghan.

Prince Charles has previously been criticized after flying a private helicopter. Despite claiming to be pro-environmental, this type of travel method was not accepted by many environmentalists.

The Keeper of the Privy Purse, Sir Michael Stevens, said, “The year under review has been another busy period for the Royal Household with The Queen undertaking 140 official engagements in the United Kingdom, including the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting at Buckingham Palace and the visit of the President of the United States to Windsor. In addition, the program of other Members of the Royal Family who support The Queen helped the Royal Family deliver over 3,200 official engagements across the UK and overseas.”

The Duke and Duchess visited 10 islands. They are the first British royal members who made an official visit to Cuba. It seems that the future king and queen consort don’t seem to mind how much they spend on their royal needs. Because after splurging more than $1 million on three royal trips in one year is a big amount indeed.
