Prince Harry Advocates for Vaccine Equity
Prince Harry attended Global Citizen’s “Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World” in Los Angeles. It was his first public appearance since Prince Philip’s funeral.

Prince Harry said, “This pandemic cannot end unless we act collectively with an unprecedented commitment to our shared humanity.”

Prince Harry and Meghan are co-chairs of the Vax Live event. This program promotes global, equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines. Additionally, it is advocating for increased public confidence in the shots.

The concert was full of many stars including Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin, and H.E.R. The event also includes a special featured message from President Joe Biden, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Prince Harry said at this event, “Hi everybody. We are at a defining moment in the global fight against COVID-19. Tonight, is a celebration of each of you here, the vaccinated frontline workers in the audience and the millions of frontline heroes around the world.”
He also said, “You spent the last year battling courageously and selflessly to protect us all. You served and sacrificed, put yourselves in harm’s way, and with bravery knowing the costs. We owe you an incredible depth of gratitude, thank you.”

Then he continued, “But we’re also coming together because this pandemic cannot end unless we act collectively with an unprecedented commitment to our shared humanity. The vaccine must be distributed to everyone everywhere.”
