Princess Eugenie Has Launched New Podcast
To combat modern slavery Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter Princess Eugenie has officially launched new podcast series. She believes this show will help to prevent trafficking worldwide. The podcast will be a remarkable project of her charity “The Anti-Slavery Collective”. This charity was founded in 2017 to work against modern slavery and trafficking.
The show will be hosted by Princess Eugenie and her friend Julia de Boinville. Princess said about the podcast, “Floodlight shows you just how prominent modern slavery is and that we can all do something about it.”
In the podcast, Eugenie and Julia were speaking with the guest who is helping to combat modern slavery in a variety of ways. Eugenie and Julia said on Instagram, “We were shocked to discover the extent to which slavery still exists. In fact, there are more enslaved people today than at any other point in history and, at any one time, someone is being trafficked within a mile of where you live. We often associate slavery with chains and shackles, but modern slavery is a hidden crime that is often hard to detect.”
Eugenie’s Instagram post stated, “From lawmakers and company leaders to famous activists, survivors and journalists, Floodlight shows you just how prominent modern slavery is and that we can all do something about it.” The post also added, “We want to thank all our guests for joining us, as well as @stakpod for making this project come to life. It is available anywhere you listen to podcasts, just search Floodlight or follow the link in my bio to listen now!”
A podcast is the latest step for Princess Eugenie. Previously she hosted interviews with her friend. The interviews were shared on social media. Eugenie also visited safe houses to discuss with the members of those houses. She also spoke about this issue at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
