Queen Elizabeth Attended Joint Christening For Her Great-Grandchildren

Queen Elizabeth attended the joint christening for the sons of the 95-year-old monarch’s granddaughters Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall. The private family service took place at the Royal Chapel in Windsor. It is considered a now-rare outing for the Queen indeed.

Queen Elizabeth is celebrating two of her great-grandsons: Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s son August and Zara and Mike Tindall’s son Lucas. Immediate family members and close friends were present in this private service.

Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, and Princess Anne have also joined the children’s parents. Cousin Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton were also on the list of attendees.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank welcomed their first baby named August in February 2021. August was the ninth great-grandchild for the Queen and the first grandchild for Eugenie’s parents. At that time the royal palace stated, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 8: 55 a.m. at The Portland Hospital.”

Zara and Mike Tindall welcomed their third child Lucas in March 2021. Lucas was the Queen’s tenth great-grandchild. The royal parents also share two daughters Mia and Lena. The palace shared the Tindalls’ baby news in this way, “The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news and look forward to meeting their 10th Great Grandchild when circumstances allow.”
